The Schloss Schönbrunn is a 17th century palace of the Habsburg Empire.
At the time we visited, the courtyard, called Ehrenhof, was home to yet another Christmas market with a beautiful Christmas tree.
We stood around and drank mulled wine to warm up.
This is the Schlosspark Schönbrunn which is inspired by French gardens and has straight rows of hedges, botanical gardens, and mock Roman ruins.
This is the Schönbrunn, a 1,441 room palace.
In the background is the Gloriette, a neoclassical triumphal arch that commemorates the victory of Maria Theresea over the army of Frederick II of Prussia. It's decorated with sculpted trophies and the Habsburg two headed eagle.
Oh hey!
